Vision of NDC

The National Defence College aims to become a Digital NDC by 2022 and a Smart NDC by 2037, with the goal of developing senior executives who excel in national strategy and security.


 

Mission of NDC

The National Defence College, Institute of Defence Studies, is responsible for coordinating advanced-level education in national defence. It provides education and training for senior military officers, high-ranking government officials, and executives from the private and political sectors. The goal is to foster a common understanding of national strategy, enabling comprehensive responses to national security challenges. The College also promotes national unity and sustainable development to ensure long-term national stability and prosperity.

Objectives of NDC

  1. To ensure that the Royal Thai Armed Forces have a strategic-level education system that fosters effective defence and operations in accordance with royal guidance.

  2. To enable the NDC–DPNS to support the nation’s strategic security policy, curriculum development, and research in security-related issues, keeping pace with global changes and ensuring effective strategic education.

  3. To prepare military and civilian leaders with a comprehensive understanding of strategic studies, equipping them to respond effectively to national and global security challenges.

  4. To serve as a national hub of strategic knowledge, fostering integrated security cooperation across all sectors.

  5. To establish operational standards and systems that ensure NDC–DPNS functions as a modern, learning organization capable of producing impactful research and education outcomes, with effective governance and resource management.
